Personal Childhood Web

The following are a list of six people who influenced my childhood:
  1. Mildred Avery- my mother. She always combed my hair and dressed me real pretty. She encouraged me and enjoyed having me around her
  2. Otis Avery- my father.  He was a hard worker. He worked hard to provide what we needed and most of the things we wanted. He was easy going and loving, but he was also firm.
  3. Beulah Fuller- my grandmother. She was really religious. She always wanted the best for me and reminded me to always trust in God.
  4. Lorenzo Fuller- my grandfather. He was a very mild mannered person. He was patient and caring. He always spent a lot of time with us and encouraged us to do our best in school and in life.
  5. Mrs. Georgia Blackmon- my teacher. She always encouraged me in school. She was amazed at the things that I could do in academics such as outline chapters in social studies while I was in elementary school without any difficulty.
  6. Billy Gatson- my brother. He always tried to take care of me and make sure that I was safe. He took me on vacations with his family such as amusement parks, movies and ball games. He cheered me on as I played sports.

In the obstacles that I face in life, I think about them and the values that they instilled in me. Although they are all deceased, fond memories of them continue to help me persevere.
I constantly think about our family meals that we had together especially Sunday dinners. During these meals we would simply socialize, problem solve family conflicts, and encourage each other in whatever the other was trying to accomplish.
